Can anyone recommend good movies

Hello all, just wondering what movies you would recommend to download?  I'm into anything but not handy-cam type stuff or foreign!

The fifth element, all 3 resident evils, (not your typical zombie films, much better), the illusionist, the last mimzy,  depends really what you like most, sci fi, horror, romance.

I watch a lot of movies, apart from romance, or teen movies, so any other genre I might be able too tell you about.

Well first off, u dont want any love, romantic movies, ul just start feeling down and sad...lol.. try HAPPY FEET... works for me..lol..

aww guys come on, no kids stuff or romance.. need action, adventure, fun!!  love stuff like Hot Fuzz, Independence Day, Deep Impact, Troy etc etc - gimme some good ideas!

The mist looks good from its trailer, just got it but not watched it yet, will let you know if its any good.

Die hard 4 is good, if you like action, and vantage point is cleverly made.

oh I saw Vantage Point at the cinema, was OK but don't think I would watch it again, not a great plot in the end but it was OK for a watch once.. ermm Irishrocker I'm not sure I follow you?  got die Hard not watched it yet, more ideas welcome - I don't do TV at all so films keep me going thanks chaps.

Dont blame you for not watching tv, with the rubbish they have on, anyway watched the mist last night, it wasnt bad, not a happy ending, I hate films without a happy ending, but the idea behind the film was not bad.

Another film I like is , v for vendetta.

If your downloading films, why not try something different to cheer you up like downloading, concerts of your favourite comedians.

Sometimes when I have had enough of watching movies I usually go on youtube and search for things that interest me, like favourite comedians from the past, favourite adverts from the past, even old shows, and comedy clips, oh and music videos I like, they are all there on youtube.

Watched The Mist today, great film and ending was cool, I agree about the happy endings but good to see someone broke the mold!  Had forgotten Die Hard 4 so just watched that too - we all knew what the outcome would be but hey it kept me watching right up to the end lol!

I don't need cheering up as such it's just I love films but can never remember the names of the ones where I said "ooh must get round to watching that sometime" and then never did!  Must admit I got "PS I Love" you the other day, one for the girls of course, oh and "27 Dresses" which was a lot better than I thought it would be.  Still prefer the action and aventure stuff though - keep them suggestions coming!

Hi, yes I watched that on Virgin on demand over Christmas, very gripping!  Very well acted too, I was impressed.

Hi love watching movies but depends what kind you like, if you ever watch online there a site called ovgiude , it a site with loads of sites on it and you can watch loads of films from 2008 to classics and also tv series that you might like and able to wantch yhe episodes that have'nt been on ytv, Hope this helps . i went to watch sex in the city when it came out and thoughly enjoyed id ,even though i didnt watch the series . iv also been to see mama mia which was a great film couldnt stop laughing  .

Here you go girl    .Brick if your bright, its a nerdy plot but excellent acting, this not so nerdy man loved every minute. No country for old men ,  a masterpiece.last but not in the least .The Valley of Elah,as allways Tommy Lee Jones is brilliant.

"Dark Knight" is really good. A tad long tho & V Dark. On the brighter side "Be Kind Rewind" starring Jack Black & Mos Deaf is a really good movie too.

Death Sentence starring Kevin Bacon( is he in every movie) good acting and a death wish type plot. Well i enjoyed it

Thanks guys, DLing them now, TV is so awful these days I don't bother with it but movies are a must, love anything just keep them suggestions coming!

Never thought I would watch Sex and the City but got it for a friend it was great!  Forgetting Sarah Marshall is very funny, gave me a different take on Russel Brand I've got to say! great actor and very funny.

Watched 'The Bucket List' last night, brill film with Jack Nicholson, & Morgan Freeman. They have both been told they have months left to live and devise a list of things to do before they 'kick the bucket'. It sounds sad but it is really good, very funny and not as depressing as it sounds. Definately worth watching x

Well I personally can't see what is wrong with kiddies films but certainly not all animation are made for kids so I thought perhaps this. There are a lot of good selections with animation these days like the shrek's and Robots which was for me hilarious especially the farting scene. Another good film which is not animation is called Flubber with Robin Williams, the amount of times I have seen this film, really good.

Surely you just need to read the people top ten films - it's a poll. But if you like action....Die Hard 5, Bourne Trilogy, Casino Royale Troy, Batmen Begins and so on. Anyway, your profile looks like you are more of an outdoors girl than a couch potato sitting in and watching movies.

Die Hard 5? Have they made it yet ?  Loved DH4, good action scenes and some great one-liners too!  Seen the others so it looks like we are on the right wavelength - I love the outdoors but after a 10 hour work day I like to unwind with a good film sometimes!

Am a Bruce fan but have to say the latest Die Hard was disappointing  Hot fuzz is very funny & I think the Devils Rejects can't be beaten for a horror/thriller.

last great films i watched are........... FELON,TAKEN.just two great films,not to be missed.let me know what you thought as i thought they were both excellent.FELON based on true story but not sure about taken though. xx

I think you should have a glance at Richard Gere in "The Flock" if anyone can shed their "Playboy" image, Mr Gere has done it with that one.

"Felon" I thought was great, got "Taken" not watched it yet

"Cloverfield" & "I Am Legend" were both good and better than I expected

Guardian I loved "Powder" what a thought provoking movie, just downloading "The Flock" so hope it's a good one.

Keep them coming folks I love all your ideas will get round to watching them all one day
