"Hi,
I am a 6'1" tall, single (never married, no kids), mature but well-preserved, clean-living, attractive, fit and healthy, educated and intelligent, professional male.
That's a bit of a mouthful. Anyway, I would dearly love to find a female companion with similar interests and a GSOH to share my wonderful lifestyle.
I love live theatre, comedy, concerts as well as travel. Love skiing, racquet sports, hillwalking, any outdoors activities and much more. I drink a little but can't stand smoking. I would like to settle down someday and am good with children but not fond of animals. I would love kids of my own but may have left it too late.
If you think you are a match for me, please get in touch to find out with a full description of yourself and some pictures. Perhaps we can meet for a coffee at the beach. If all goes well, then we could go for a long promenade, arm in arm for warmth, along the windswept but crowded beach or beach front.
Hope to hear from you soon." |

interview with Friendlyfire2001
What is your favorite film?
Roberto Benigni won three oscars for his movie Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella)
What is the last book you read?
The Grahams - don't read much just guide, reference or history books, no fiction. Prefer to be doing than reading about someone else doing.
Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
Both
Name three things you couldn't live without.
Fresh air - the Great Outdoors, travel and victuals.
What's your best piece of advice?
Remember that the universe does not revolve around you and try and see things from other peoples point of view.
If you could date a celebrity, who would it be?
Someone female who is actually a celebrity as opposed to the soap would-bees of today, a true star - glamourous, charismatic and intelligent. Otherwise Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston, Cameron Diaz, Shelley Long, Brit Ekland, Madonna, Bridgey Bardot, Raquel Welch etc in their prime.
If you could be a celebrity for a day, who would you be?
Robert Plant in Zeppelins hey day or Brad Pitt.
What one thing would you change about yourself?
Nothing. I like me a lot.
Are you a morning or night person?
Night
What's your party trick?
Used to be fancy dress but now it's not turning up.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
Eagle
What are you looking for in a relationship?
A partner/companion/friend which perhaps could lead to more. I would like a family and kids but have left it too late. Hard to find women who don't have kids and are young enough to have children without the generation gap being too great. However, I am flexible and open-minded and would entertain a number of relationships from friendship to.........
If you won the lottery, how would you spend it?
I wouldn't. I'd live off the interest and perhaps give some to my immediate family only. Otherwise, it gets complicated and you lose friends. If they fall out cos U don't give them money then they are not true friends and not worth having.
When was your last relationship and how long did it last?
3 yrs ago, 1.5 yrs long I think. Don't meet many single women on the remote hills I frequent.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Don't plan to change much, although I may move elsewhere in Scotland.
If the world was ending tomorrow...
Spend time withthe people I am close to and let family members know how much I care which tends to be left unsaid, often until it's too late. Never take people/love for granted.
Best thing you've ever done...
Living and working in Ireland and other travels worldwide. Meeting people.
Worst thing you've ever done...
Time spent in hospital with my late Mum
Love is...
very hard to find
What makes you special?
I don't see myself as special. However, I am a decent, honest, attractive, well-preserved bloke and cannot understand why women aren't particularly interested/keen.
